Any person convicted of a DUI in Georgia or a licensed Georgia driver who gets a DUI in another State must successfully complete a Department of Drivers Services (DDS) approved DUI Alcohol or Drug Use Risk Reduction Program and undergo a Clinical Evaluation and if recommended, complete a Substance Abuse Treatment Program.
Offenders must choose a treatment provider that offers ASAM level of service specified by the clinical evaluator.
Level I Short Term Program - 6-12weeks (18hrs minimum)
Level I Long Term Program - 4-12months (3-9hours per week)
It is the responsibility of the treatment provider to determine the length of treatment and numbers of weeks of treatment. If you drop out of treatment, or terminated from treatment before completion, you will be required to re-enter treatment beginning at week one.
